Why work with me
I began my career in the special needs and disabilities sector over nineteen years ago in London as an ABA therapist at one of the largest charity-operated special needs schools for children with autism. I gained experience in various aspects of service delivery, including one-on-one therapy, group work, supervising and mentoring new staff, participating in multidisciplinary teams, and handling crisis interventions. Working with highly challenging children, I’ve had my share of pinches, bites, kicks, and even concussions. I eventually became the go-to person for addressing the most complex needs. These experiences and career progression enable me to deeply understand the challenges faced by special education staff. In 2008, I had the opportunity to develop my first operational and clinical structure for a community center for children with autism and disabilities. As a clinical director, I trained and supervised therapists, designed operational structures for service delivery, appointed staff, created an operating model for therapy and teaching provisions, and led professional development initiatives. I was then recruited for a specialist role in mental health and complex needs at the newly established special education section of the Abu Dhabi Education Council, UAE. Over seven years, I led corporate communications, managed projects, developed policies, and designed state-level implementation strategies. This experience has provided me with a wealth of expertise that I can adapt and scale to various projects. Throughout my career, I have combined clinical practice with work across institutions in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, sharing my expertise in mental health, social-emotional, and emotional-behavioral domains. With a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology and training in Behavior Analysis and Neurolinguistic Programming, I have a broad range of expertise in mental health and clinical work. Hence, alongside consultancy work, I offer training sessions and seminars in both professional and self-development areas.
